Minimum size for 1 parakeet-------18x18x18"
Volume = 5,832" cubic inches

Minimum size for 2 parakeets-----30x18x18"
Volume = 9,720" cubic inches

Minimum size for 3 parakeets-----32x18x20"
Volume = 11,520" cubic inches

Minimum size for 4 parakeets-----34x18x25"
Volume = 15,300" cubic inches

Minimum size for 5 parakeets-----35x18x30"
Volume = 18,900" cubic inches

Minimum size for 6 parakeets-----40x18x32"

And for a lovebird would be the same, but for one bird it would start at the minimum size for 2 parakeets.
However if you give your birds enough flight time out of the cage, it won't matter if your cage is a bit on the smaller side. Flight time is very important. They need exercise. Always be sure to bird proof the room (cover mirrors, close windows, holes etc.) and supervise.

Provide your birds with a variety of toys (shredding, chewing, foraging) to keep their minds stimulated. Provide them with a variety of perches, of different textures and diameters to keep their feet healthy.

Clean the tray daily, or every other day. Clean the entire cage at least once every few weeks
